Precision Tip: When installing, have a friend hold the hood at the maximum height while you secure the brackets. Because the hood is aluminum, it’s very light—be sure not to put unnecessary downward pressure on the corners of the hood while the struts are being attached to prevent any slight bending of the hinges.
