Precision Tip: This is a GL5 rated mineral oil. While it is perfect for rear-axle hypoid gears, use caution before putting it in a manual transmission. The high sulfur-phosphorus content of GL5 fluids can be aggressive toward "yellow metal" (brass/bronze) synchronizers. Always check your service manual to confirm if your gearbox requires GL4 or GL5. If you have a Limited Slip Differential (LSD), you may need to add a friction modifier as this specific SKU is a standard hypoid fluid.
